Day 34: Heroes Day

July 31 is known as Heroes Day in Malaysia where they remember war heroes. With this theme of Heroes Day, I have chosen instead to dress up as a character from Heroes, Claire Bennet.

Claire was the high-school cheerleader with the power of rapid cellular regeneration.

You know what they say: save cheerleader, save world.

Day 33: Arnold Schwarzenegger

Today is Arnold Schwarzenegger’s 65th birthday. In honour of this great 80’s action hero, I have chosen to dress in a Terminator theme. I can honestly say that I have seen Terminator 2: Judgement Day more times than anyone I know. Mostly because when we used to visit my cousins house when I was little, this was the only VHS they owned. Also, my teacher wrote a letter to my mum once saying that I was too young to have watched this in the cinema #HowDareShe

This is possibly the most comfortable costume known to man-kind.

In celebration of the London Olympics Opening Ceremony tonight I have taken on the theme of London today. I don’t know about you, but when I think of London, the first image to pop into my head is a punk, circa Sex Pistols days. Get it in ya.

Day 29: Little Miss Sunshine

In 2006 on this day Little Miss Sunshine was released. It tells the story of a family determined to get their young daughter into the finals of a beauty pageant, so they take a cross-country trip in their VW bus. With that I have chosen to dress up as Olive in one of the best known scenes – the final dance.

It seems this week I am plagued to look well below my actual age….score?

Day 26: Egypt Revolution Day

July 23rd is the anniversary of the Egyptian Revolution of 1952. So I thought today I’d go for a classic Egyptian queen theme channelling Cleopatra. And let me tell you, that classic hieroglyphics stance is a bitch to position, tres uncomfortable.

A couple of months back Tom and Alex had a breakfast show dedicated to exercise, if my blog had been around then, I would have dressed like this. I don’t know about you, but whenever I think of an exercise instructor, I think 80’s aerobics instructor, which equals lycra and leotards.

Please note, the temperature at the time of these photos was 11 degrees Celsius. Art = pain.
