Day 65: Shuffler

Clementine submitted the theme “Shuffler”, ala the LMFAO film clip. So I’ve decided to dress up as the box head guy, who has previously been played by The Hoff for the 2011 American Music Awards.

Only 300 days to go! WOO HOO!

25 years ago on August 30th, the game Street Fighter was released. This is a game I hold near and dear to my heart as I spent years playing it with my brothers on our Super Nintendo. As I was a girl, of course my favourite character was Chun-Li who I have chosen to dress up as today.

Also, this theme has made me realise I’m going to make a very good cougar one day….

Day 58: Dinosaur

I’ve been asked a lot of questions about this challenge since I starting this blog. Amongst them: ‘What happens if you get sick?’. If you will learn ANYTHING about me at all throughout the duration of this year, it’s that I like stupid/cool things. For my birthday I asked for costumed onesie pajamas, and I got this.

And yes, I ACTUALLY have used and slept in these dinosaur PJ’s since getting them in June. Back to bed now.

Day 56: Pussy Riot

August 22nd is Russian Flag Day, which made me think, what’s big in Russia right now? Light bulb – Pussy Riot – Oh yeah, this blog just got topical.

For anyone who doesn’t know, Pussy Riot is a Russian feminist punk band that staged a performance at a Moscow church tying the Russian Orthodox Church politically to  Russian President Vladimir Putin. Then on March 3, after a video of the performance appeared online, three of the group members were arrested and charged with hooliganism. This week they were sentenced to TWO YEARS in jail. This then sparked protests around the word in favour of the band and to call for their release.
