Today I had a request from a workmate to dress as an emu, I agreed and then I found out that today is loud shirt day. I had made a promise though and just as a Lannister pays his debts, I keep my promises.

Revlon are holding a truth or dare competition where they are asking people to attempt the Brigitte Bardot winged eye-liner look. So I took it one further and dressed as Brigitte Bardot. Today is Jean Claude Van Damme’s birthday, and if I can’t dress up as him (because tied back hair and a wife-beater will just make me look like Ryan from the O.C) then at least I can dress as a fellow Frenchie.
Today I presented a speech on mobile in the future. This then turned into everyone in my office demanding that I present the speech dressed as a mobile. I refused and just turned mobile into my theme today. As you can see I have dressed as an iPhone.
October 16 is International World Food day, a holiday close to my heart. so today I decided to dress up as a banana. But not any old banana, but as the Peanut Butter Jelly Time Banana! Please click the link and get the song stuck in your head all day like I did. Happy eating!
October 15 is Global Handwashing Day which automatically made me think of that episode of The Simpsons where he falls in love with his babysitter Laura and she spits on his hand and he claims that he’ll never wash his hand again. Cut to scene of his hand covered in spit, and gum and other gross stuff. So that’s what I’ve dressed up as today.
October 14 is International World Standards Day. This day honours the efforts of the thousands of experts who develop voluntary standards within standards development organizations. Each year on they determine a theme based on a current aspect of standardisation. This year is: Less Waste, Better Results. So I have opted to create my outfit out of newspaper in the hopes to reduce waste.
October 12 is Freethought day in the United States. It celebrates freethinkers and secularists in the anniversary of the effective end of the Salem Witch Trials. So that’s why I have decided to dress as a witch.
