On May 19, 1994, Jackie Onassis passed away. Jacqueline Lee Bouvier Kennedy Onassis, was the wife of the 35th President of the United States, John F. Kennedy, and was known for her style and grace. Today, I take her on as my theme, hoping to replicate her effortless 60’s style.

On May 18, 1995, the film, Braveheart, premiered at the Seattle International Film Festival. With Braveheart as my theme for today, I have dressed up as William Wallace, played by Mel Gibson. As I was applying the face make-up, all I kept thinking of was Tobias Funke and the words: I just blue myself.
Today Daft Punk are having an album launch party in Wee Waa, Australia for their new album Random Access Memories. Unfortunately the French DJ duo will not ACTUALLY be in Wee Waa, but that won’t stop thousands of people descending to the town to hear the album. With this, I have taken on Daft Punk as a theme, dressing as Guy-Manuel, the gold-headed robot.

During this week of May in the US, all of the major networks meet for their upfront meetings to decide what shows will get renewed and what shows will get cancelled. Amongst the shows that were cancelled, was CSI: New York, my theme for today. I thought no costume could be more fitting than CSI: New York, in a body bag.
On May 14, 1998, the last episode of Seinfeld aired. Seinfeld would have to be, with The Simpsons, my favourite show of all time. I truly believe that there is no event in life that cannot be referenced with a Seinfeld quote. And with that, today I have taken Seinfeld on as a theme, dressing as Jerry Seinfeld in the infamous puffy/pirate shirt from the episode – “The Puffy Shirt”.

Today is Mother’s Day in Australia, so with this as my theme, I have decided to dress as Mother Theresa. Mother Teresa founded the Missionaries of Charity, a Roman Catholic religious congregation, which runs hospices and homes for people with HIV/AIDS, leprosy and tuberculosis; soup kitchens; children’s and family counseling programs; orphanages; and schools.
