What about a Lady GaGa day?? she is pretty out there.. but I don’t suggest the meat dress, that was a disaster..
LOL, funny you mention meat dress:
How about dressing as a baby ?, you could wear a nappy , plastic pants a dummy and a bonnet. Or you could get disposable nappy from chemist or something.

A molecular process! I haven’t looked through all your photos, so I’m not sure if you’ve already done this…but I think it would be awesome if you dressed up as either a molecule (i.e. haemoglobin) OR as a molecular process (i.e. photosynthesis). I realise that to the casual observer this may seem to be the dorkiest possible thing to do, but why on earth would you let that stop you? Also, it’s a challenge and having flicked through some of your blog – I get this funny feeling that you like a challenge. My uber-cool friends and I sometimes play a variant of charades whereby you have to act out some sort of molecular process, (or biological phenomenon – you could try that too! [i.e. bees doing the waggle dance to signal where food for the hive is, birds performing courtship rituals such as lekking, or Atlantic salmon migrating around the globe]) and yes, that game is played with an audience who know their stuff, but still… shows there are ways to get creative with this! Best of luck. This is a sweet project you’ve got going.
what about doing a gaming theme (stuff like final fantasy, pacman, and any other console based game you would be able to think of)

I like your concepts, Mary. You have some fantastic ideas. How about a Hollywood Heroines theme, using female characters who have been the heroines in Hollywood movies. It gives you a lot of scope; you could use superheroines, such as Lara Croft, but it could also include such characters as Erin Brockovich and Bridget Jones. In any event, keep up the great ideas!
In case you want to do something sailor moon http://www.supanova.com.au/ or for steampunk http://www.ironfest.com.au/ (theme for 2013 is time travel in case you have not done DR who yet)
