On June 24, 2005, Bewitched was released. The film was nowhere near the amazing that was the TV series, but in honour of my childhood years spent watching the show I have taken it on as a theme, dressing as the best character – Endora – Samantha’s mother. One of my favourite aspects of her character was how she would pop up in the most strangest of places – on top of cupboards on top of staircase banisters, so I’ve tried to do some of that with the photos.
June 1 is Marilyn Monroe’s birthday. Marilyn Monroe was the original blonde bombshell. Men wanted her, women wanted to be her, even today, decades later she is still a sex symbol in popular culture. Today I have dressed as her in that famous white dress from Seven Year Itch…isn’t it delicious? And yes, that is a fan behind me that I’ve used to reproduce the flowing skirt.
p.s. Today is also my best friend’s birthday – Reindeer Games – who is getting a special theme tomorrow!
On May 19, 1994, Jackie Onassis passed away. Jacqueline Lee Bouvier Kennedy Onassis, was the wife of the 35th President of the United States, John F. Kennedy, and was known for her style and grace. Today, I take her on as my theme, hoping to replicate her effortless 60’s style.

May 3 is Christina Hendricks’ birthday, Christina is most-known for her role in Mad Men as Joan Holloway, the office manager at the advertising agency Sterling Cooper. For this reason, today I have dressed as Joan. Please note that in order to get anywhere near the bust of Christina I had to wear two bras stuffed on top of each other and even then, I’m hardly even close.

On May 2, 1997, Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery was released, so this is why I have taken it on as my theme today dressing as a Fembot. Fembots are beautiful women dressed in provocative outfits who were used by Dr. evil against Austin Powers. They are known for their greatest weapon – guns hidden within their breasts which can fire knockout gas or bullets – more affectionately known as machine gun jubblies.

March 26 is Diana Ross’ birthday, in celebration of that I have decided to dress as her. Of course if you’re going to do Diana Ross the costume comes down to the hair. Luckily I have naturally curly hair, so all I had to do to create her beautiful bouffant was take a brush to it.
