Today is my brother’s birthday – Happy Birthday Holmes! So I asked him what theme he’s like me to take on, he said either Acropolis Now or Comedy Company, and seeing as how I couldn’t find a bedazzled bra so that I could dress as Effie, I chose Comedy Company and opted for a Kylie Mole costume…so excellent!
April 17 is Victoria Beckham’s birthday and the reason that Spice Girls week has fallen over this particular week. So today I have dressed as Posh Spice, my favourite Spice Girl. Yes, you read that right, she was my favourite. Why you ask? She was the most glamourous and lady-like, and as a chubby little tomboy she was all I ever wanted to become. (I think this costume is the closest I’ll ever come though).
For the third day of Spice Girls Week I take on the second Melanie of the group – Melanie Brown, a.k.a. Scary Spice. I can tell you this right now, I’m WELL over showing my midriff, unlike the Melanie’s I do not have the abs for this kind of get-up!

Today is the second day of Spice Girls Week and I am taking on my least favourite of the group – Sporty Spice – a.k.a. Melanie Chisholm. Why was she my least favourite you ask? Her voice. It was too nasal for my liking. But I really liked when she did that duet with Bryan Adams. Conundrum. ANYWAY, that was my random (personal) Spice Girls fun fact for the day. Hope it spiced up your life.
Today is the first day of Spice Girls week as requested by Amanda. The Spice Girls were my favourite band when growing up so this is going to be a fun week! The first spice girl taken on is Emma Bunton, better known as Baby Spice.
Today I have a birthday party that is Mexican themed, so I thought ‘what would be funnier than to attend as a chola?’. For those who don’t know, a chola is a female of Latin decent that is one of the ‘homies’ and usually wears heavy eyeliner, dark lined lipstick and a bandanna. I think I pull it off ALMOST too well.
February 12 is Christina Ricci’s birthday, so today I have decided to dress up as one of my favourite characters as portrayed by Miss Ricci – Wednesday Addams. That whole movie was perfectly cast to be honest, I hope to one day be as hot of a Mortica as Angelica Houston was. But for now I’ll be the little creeper Wednesday. Creep face achieved with a mix of black make-up under-eye circles and cheekbone highlights with the acting talents of my inner stalker.
Today is the last day of Oktoberfest so I have decided to dress as a beer maiden and drink Mango beer. Sometimes life is grand….and if you’re wondering how I got my hair like this, I braided it with a pipe cleaner in it and then bent it into shape.
