Today is Mother’s Day in Australia, so with this as my theme, I have decided to dress as Mother Theresa. Mother Teresa founded the Missionaries of Charity, a Roman Catholic religious congregation, which runs hospices and homes for people with HIV/AIDS, leprosy and tuberculosis; soup kitchens; children’s and family counseling programs; orphanages; and schools.

Today my oldest friend (Emilioooo!) is having her birthday party, deep down I know she wanted it to be Golden Girls themed, but thought no-one would commit to the idea. As a birthday gift, today I have taken on a Golden Girls theme, dressing as Sophia, my favourite character. Sophia, played by Estelle Getty, was the wise-cracking mother of Dorothy (Bea Arthur) who always had the best lines. You can watch some of her best moments here. Happy Birthday darling! I tried to give you the ‘biggest gift’ – me! 😉

Late last week a good long-time friend gave birth to her first born. The last we met up I promised her that when she gave birth I would dedicate a post on Theme Me to her and her new motherhood. With that promise I bring you today’s theme of New Mother. I hope she finds this accurately funny 😉
Please note to achieve the vomit on the towel on my shoulder I used tartar sauce, while my singlet stain of choice was Dijon mustard. For the tired eyes I used dark blue eye shadow, and I used only one t-shirt to create the post-birth-giving-bump.
