Day 353: National Lobster Day

Day 353: National Lobster Day

June 15 is National Lobster Day so today I have decided to dress as a lobster in a pot….mostly inspired by this adorable picture. Take note future children, this is what you’re in store for.

Day 310: Christina Hendricks

Day 310: Christina Hendricks

May 3 is Christina Hendricks’ birthday, Christina is most-known for her role in Mad Men as Joan Holloway, the office manager at the advertising agency Sterling Cooper. For this reason, today I have dressed as Joan. Please note that in order to get anywhere near the bust of Christina I had to wear two bras stuffed on top of each other and even then, I’m hardly even close.

Day 270: Video Games

Day 270: Video Games

Today I have dressed as Carmen Sandiego for a video gamed themed party that I have been invited to. Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego is hands down my favourite video game of all time, MS DOS style, so it was an obvious choice for me. It was my favourite computer game to play when growing up, but unfortunately the only geographical facts that retain in my memory is that Reykjavik is the capital of Iceland and that the rupee is the currency of India.

Day 212: Opposite Day

Day 212: Opposite Day

January 25 is known as Opposite Day. At first the obvious choice would have been to not dress up in costume as a costume for today (woah, catch 22) but after some discussions with a few mates I have decided to instead create a costume where I wore everything the other way round. So I have worn a jumper as pants (you may recognise the jumper from this Day 181) and pants as a top/borello. To be honest, I’ve seen hipsters wear worse.

Day 181: Awkward Family Photo

For the twelfth and final day of Christmas themes, I have decided to bring you: Awkward Family Photo – Christmas style. It’s a little bit 80’s and a little bit creepy with (I hope) a WHOLE lotta awkward.

I hope you like it and would just like to thank you all for joining in on this crazy journey with me thus far – MARY Christmas and a happy new year to all!

Day 175: The Grinch

For the sixth day of Christmas themes (halfway) I have decided to take on the theme of The Grinch and dress up as the character Cindy Lou Who. Interesting fact, the little girl was played by Taylor Momsen, of Gossip Girl fame. If only she was still as sweet. Please note that it took me about 30 minutes to mold my blonde wig into this shape, but it was totally worth it!
