At the request of a friend, today I take on the theme of Dentistry. So I have dressed as a dentist with a Simpsons twist, holding the Big Book of British Smiles. Why must you turn my office into a house of lies?
On March 3, 1845, Florida became the 27th state of the United States of America so today I take on Florida as my theme. When I think of Florida, I automatically think of the episode of The Simpsons where Marge has a gambling problem and Homer has to help Lisa make her Florida state costume for school. It turns out so bad that she is chosen out, with Ralph, to win a prize for obviously having made their costume without the help of their parents.

November 21 is World TV Day, so I have decided to dress as my favourite television….the one from The Simpsons opening titles. It was always my dream to be on The Simpsons, so I guess this is as close as I’ll get.

October 15 is Global Handwashing Day which automatically made me think of that episode of The Simpsons where he falls in love with his babysitter Laura and she spits on his hand and he claims that he’ll never wash his hand again. Cut to scene of his hand covered in spit, and gum and other gross stuff. So that’s what I’ve dressed up as today.
August 13 is International Left Handers Day. Yes, I said INTERNATIONAL. So today I have dressed up as the MOST FAMOUS left hander there could possibly be: Ned Flanders. Because as we know, hens love roosters, geese love gander, everyone else loves Ned Flanders….or everyone who counts loves Ned Flanders!

So Monday was Marine day (say that 20 times fast) and rather than miss out on a great theme, I’ve chosen to do it a couple of days late. It’s a Japanese national holiday celebrated on the third Monday of July, so if this was 2011 I’d be spot on. For such an occasion I have chosen to dress up as Captain Horatio McCallister from The Simpsons. Enjoy you land lubbers!
