May the 4th is Star Wars day. It is a day when Star Wars fan celebrate the Star Wars films and culture. This day falls on May the 4th because of it’s pun resemblance to the famous film line – “May the force be with you”. Apparently though, Star Wars fans were not the first to pen the pun. In 1979 when Margaret Thatcher was elected Britain’s first female Prime Minister on May 4 her party placed an advertisement in The London Evening News that said “May the Fourth Be with You, Maggie. Congratulations.” Either way, I have but one thing to say to you all on the day:
May the fourth be with you.

Today for MEME week I take on the Chubby Bubbles MEME. Chubby Bubbles Girl is a photoshop meme based on a photograph of a girl running through a yard with a bubble maker in her hand. I cannot tell you how many times my brother and I tried to capture bubbles in this photo, that’s half an hour that we’ll never get back. Regardless I think I captured her spirit in the end, and I hope you do too.
February 24 is the date of the 2013 Oscars, which is why I have decided to take it on as my theme for today. Given all the amazing gowns that have walked the red carpet glory over the years, I have decided to dress in a outlandish, but definitely more iconic dress worn by Bjork in 2001, known as the Swan dress…for obviously reasons. Thanks go to my friend I’m a Scientist for letting me borrow her swan dress for this occasion that she made herself. If you would like to know how to make the Bjork swan dress, you can learn from a tutorial here.
July 17th – World Day for International Justice. At first I thought I might dress up as Ally McBeal, but that would have been lame, so I present to you Blind Justice. I’m actually quite surprised at how awesome this outfit turned out. I mean with a cardigan on, people at work thought I was princess Leia, but that was because they assumed it had long sleeves, but without I think it’s pretty fetch. And yes, I just made a Mean Girls reference.
Please note: I am wearing a dress backwards…talk about commitment! (Mind. Blown)
