Day 351: A Clockwork Orange

Day 351: A Clockwork Orange

June 13 is Malcolm McDowell’s birthday. Malcolm is known for many roles he has played over the years, most notably Alex in A Clockwork Orange, my theme and costume for the day.

Day 342: Reddit

Day 342: Reddit

In June 2005, Reddit was founded. Reddit was founded by Steve Huffman and Alexis Ohanian and is a social sharing website where people submit content – link or text – that they think is entertaining and worth sharing. Once submitted users are invited to positively vote up the content, or negatively vote down the content to determine a numbered rank that will position that item on the site’s front page.

I have been lucky enough to make it to the front page of Reddit thanks to a friend of mine who talked about the site. This is in some way thanks to the persons who appreciated the blog and up-voted it.Thanks Redditors!

Day 282: Agnetha Faltskog

Day 282: Agnetha Faltskog

April 5 is Agnetha Faltskog’s birthday. Agnetha Faltskog was the lead singer of the Swedish pop band ABBA. So I’ve decided to dress in their iconic white jumpsuit costume. Ever since I put on the white jumpsuit I have not been able to get Waterloo out of my head…there goes the weekend.

Today is the day before Easter, or as I have themed it, Easter Eve. With this I have dressed as the iconic Easter Bunny who is ready to bestow chocolates in the best and most enjoyable form – an Easter Egg hunt!

Day 242: Oscars

Day 242: Oscars

February 24 is the date of the 2013 Oscars, which is why I have decided to take it on as my theme for today. Given all the amazing gowns that have walked the red carpet glory over the years, I have decided to dress in a outlandish, but definitely more iconic dress worn by Bjork in 2001, known as the Swan dress…for obviously reasons. Thanks go to my friend I’m a Scientist for letting me borrow her swan dress for this occasion that she made herself. If you would like to know how to make the Bjork swan dress, you can learn from a tutorial here.

Day 228: The Colour Run

Day 228: The Colour Run

Today I took part in The Colour Run in Sydney. The Colour Run is a 5K fun-run where at upon entering each kilometre mark, a different colour dust is thrown at you. Once finished you then enter the finish festival where you get to unleash your colour pack amongst each other. You are supposed to wear white in order to get the full effect of the colour dust on your clothes, with this in mind I thought to dress up as an all white Ballerina, because what could be funner than jumping around in a tutu? Nothing. It is dubbed the funnest 5k run on the planet and I can vouch that this is true. I would highly recommend it and would do it again in a heartbeat. I’m pictured here with my good friends @martyPantaloons and @PatchworkDan.

Day 201: Tennis

Day 201: Tennis

The Australian Open beings today, so I thought I would take on a tennis themed day and dress as the infamous John McEnroe. Why you ask? His afro would make him the funniest tennis player to dress up as, that’s why. And yes, I know that I’m using a badminton racket, not a tennis for this costume, but the old school rackets look more like badminton ones compared to the new tennis ones these days. Please also note that this costume is brought to you almost entirely by my brothers wardrobe #siblingwin
