Happy 2024 Halloween!

For this years Halloween costume I decided to take on the Dune sandworm/Shai-Hulud costume as my goal was to be as sustainable and eco-friendly as possible this year.

As you know/from what you can see on the blog, I LOVE me a home-made costume. So once I was able to get my hands on a free/donated children’s play tunnel via Facebook Marketplace, I was off and running to make this one for my work Halloween party.

Plus, the idea of me being a worm at work was too stupid-funny NOT to do haha.

Main Sandworm costume shape: Bunnings children’s play tunnel, with it’s face panel and legs cut off, spray painted brow

Sandworm mouth/teeth: Cut up cardboard box strips taped onto the inside of the play tunnel with cloth tape and then brown wrapping paper scrunched and taped around the outside edge
