Today is World Mental Health day. WMHD is a day for global mental health education, awareness and advocacy. I, like many of us, have friends and family who have been greatly affected by mental health issues. This is why I have decided to do a costume today and do my little bit to raise awareness of mental issues worldwide. This year in Australia there are three objectives:
- Encourage help seeking behaviour
- Reduce the stigma associated with mental illness
- Foster connectivity throughout communities
To find out more, you can head here.
With this in mind, I thought I would use the recently released Disney Pixar film – Inside Out – as my inspiration for a costume, and create an Anger costume.
