March 1 is National Pig Day in the United States. It is a day where the pig is celebrated. The holiday celebration was started in 1972 by sisters Ellen Stanley, a teacher in Lubbock, Texas, and Mary Lynne Rave of Beaufort, North Carolina. With this theme of Pig, I have decided to dress up as the most famous female pig known worldwide – Miss Piggy from The Muppets (thanks for the heads up Satay Chicken!)
In honour of the pig I give you this famous Simpsons exchange between Homer and Lisa:
Lisa: I’m going to become a vegetarian
Homer: Does that mean you’re not going to eat any pork?
Lisa: Yes
Homer: Bacon?
Lisa: Yes Dad
Homer: Ham?
Lisa: Dad all those meats come from the same animal
Homer: Right Lisa, some wonderful, magical animal!

Blonde Wig: Carnival and Party Warehouse
Pig Nose and Pig Ears: Homemade from Cardboard, Pink Paper, Elastic and a Headband.
Light Pink Dress: ASOS
Pink Boa: Hot Dollar

Pearl Necklace: Thailand Markets
White Long Gloves: Dollar King

Pssst, Miss Piggy is from The Muppets, not Sesame Street 😉
Still a great costume, though. You nailed it!
I thought she was on both #PigFail. Thanks for the heads up, I’ll amend now!
