February 20 is World Day of Social Justice. Social justice is an underlying principle for peaceful and prosperous coexistence within and between nations. It is a day created by the United Nations General Assembly to raise awareness and promote the principles of gender equality and the rights of indigenous peoples and migrants. For this reason I have dressed as a suffragette. Suffragettes were members of women’s suffrage (right to vote) movements in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
