On March 5, 1953, dictator and mass murder Joseph Stalin died. This costume of Joseph Stalin was not inspired by the man at all, but rather by the coat that is my mother’s from the 80’s. As soon as I saw it I thought, “how very Janet Jackson in Rhythm Nation” so naturally when I was researching this day and discovered Stalin had died on it, I knew I had just the right jacket to pull of the outfit.
